Are you ready for a not only delicious but THE cutest Thanksgiving or Christmas appetizer ever? The combination of sweet from the cranberries, a hint of heat from the jalapenos, and a buttery, savory flavor from the flaky dough makes this appetizer a for-sure winner. And the fact that it’s in the cutest little wreath formation is just icing on the vegan cake!

If you’re like me or most vegans for that matter, you will likely have to satisfy a lot of omnivores during the holidays. That’s why store bought vegan alternatives (especially dairy alternatives) are such a god-sent around this time. I don’t know if you’ve browsed Pinterest lately for holiday appetizers but it was a difficult task to find one that didn’t include dairy. At my local grocery store they carry tofutti cream cheese and ya’ll, this stuff is GOOD. I’m not lying when I tell you no one will know the difference.
If you can not find any vegan cream cheese where you live you can always make your own. Here is one of my favorite vegan cream cheese recipes.

For the crescent dough, did you know the majority of store bought crescent doughs are accidentally vegan? Yup, even Pillsbury Crescent Rolls! If that’s not a Christmas miracle then I don’t know what is. I personally love these Annie’s crescent rolls because I can read every ingredient (always a good thing!) and they taste absolutely delicious!

It couldn’t be any simpler, too! Because Lord knows you don’t need some fancy complicated appetizer with all that’s going on in your kitchen already during the holidays. This holiday wreath app looks like you put some serious energy into it but little do they know it was basically only 2 steps!

INGREDIENTS
This recipe will make 2 small wreaths or one large one
8 oz container of vegan cream cheese, softened
1 14oz can of whole berry cranberry sauce
1 jalapeno, finely diced
fresh chives, finely diced
2 8oz tubes of crescent rolls
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven according to crescent roll package
- Mix cream cheese, cranberry sauce, jalapeno and chives until well combined.
- Grease your baking sheet or line with parchment paper. Arrange your crescent triangles by overlapping the bottom of the triangles and forming a circle in the middle.
- Spoon your cream cheese mixture onto the overlapped dough and gently fold over the triangle tops. Tuck in any extra dough.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with extra chives.
