Perfect for your next barbeque: 2 ingredient cream cheese dips! On the menu: Corn Relish Dip, Sweet Pepper Relish Dip & a Taco Dip. My genius mother-in-law introduced me to this sweet pepper relish dip a few years back and I couldn’t get over how delicious the combo was. Something I have never tasted or thought of before.
And then the other day I was in the grocery store and stumbled across this spicy corn relish and had a thought that runs through my mind a few times a day: cream cheese! My instincts were right. The spicy and creamy combination is to die for!
For the Cream Cheese: My store has a few options for plant based cream cheese but you can always make it yourself. This recipe is great one.
2 INGREDIENT CREAM CHEESE DIPS:
Sweet Pepper Relish Dip: Mix equal parts vegan cream cheese and sweet pepper relish dip. Make sure you pick up SWEET pepper relish. Not mint pepper relish, hot pepper relish, etc. In my grocer it is located by the pickles. Serve with fritos or tortilla chips.
Spicy Corn Relish Dip: Mix equal parts vegan cream cheese and spicy corn relish. I found mine in the “natural foods” type aisle but I also saw one by the olives that looked just as good! Garnish with green onion or more of the dip. Serve with fritos or tortilla chips.
Taco Dip: Mix equal parts vegan cream cheese and rotel diced tomatoes & green chiles. My store had many options including “fire roasted” which is what I picked up. Pro tip: Add a little taco seasoning and top with green onions. Serve with fritos or tortilla chips.
It can’t get much simpler then that. I have found the dips will get better as they sit in the fridge so if you can make it the day before, do it! These are the perfect addition to any barbeque or potluck. What is your favorite thing to mix with cream cheese? I’m thinking pickle relish mixed with cream cheese would be one delicious veggie-dog topping. 😉
